New Orleans Saints (13-3) vs San Francisco 49ers (13-3)

Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA
After an easy win over the Detroit Lions last week, the New Orleans Saints will face a tough test this Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. The Saints have had some problems playing away from home this year, while the 49ers have found extra motivation playing at their field. But…this match might break that behavior for both teams. New Orleans air attack is one of the best in the league but it will take much more effort against the 49ers than against the vulnerable Lions. If there is one thing that the Niners know how to do…it is playing defense. Drew Brees and company may have a huge wall in front of them in this game.
The Niners, guided by Frank Gore and Alex Smith, have accomplished their best season in years and they are going to try to extend their winning march against one of the top Superbowl contestants this year. To give their fans one more reason to cheer, they will have to pull their best defense stopping the Saints attack, and take advantage of the holes that New Orleans have shown in their secondary all season long. If San Francisco has the ability to break their opponent’s defensive line, they might have a chance to defeat the Who Dat crew.
New Orleans will come to this game as favorites after their great performances this year. They have accomplished records and victories all season long, and they will get on the field looking to get to the Superbowl once again as they did a couple of seasons ago. The only issue is how they are going to stop the Niners running game and how they will break one of the most solid defenses in the league. This won’t be a walk in the park like last week. If Drew Brees starts connecting with his wide receivers, this game might become a nightmare for the home team.
The Saints are 3½ point favorites for this game and the total is set on 47. I recommend taking the New Orleans Saints here on the money line because, despite how hard this game might be, they have more weapons to bring to the table against the Niners defense and ground game.
