NFL Final Four Featuring the Pats, Steelers, Packers & Falcons

Welcome the NFL post-season final four.

As in most years, the NFL Conference Championships features four Super Bowl worthy teams that the great Vince Lombardi couldn’t deny. But this year they also include four elite quarterbacks.

Brady.

Rodgers.

Roethlisberger.

Ryan.

Bet 5Dimes

This is the first time in the Super Bowl era that the last four teams each have a quarterback that has thrown for more than 200 TDs. What’s more is that, Matt Ryan of the Falcons, Tom Brady of the Patriots and Aaron Rodgers of the Packers were first, second and fourth in the key statistic of adjusted yards per passing attempt.

Ben Roethlisberger had the least impressive numbers this year. But he and the three other remaining QBs were first, second, sixth and seventh in passing touchdowns, despite Brady missing four games for his deflation suspension and Roethlisberger missing two because of injury. This Sunday is going to be crazy.

The Tide opened as a touchdown favorite to beat the Tigers for a second time in a row for college football’s national title on Jan. 9 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. You can watch the game live on ESPN or stream it via Watch ESPN.

Bama took care of the Washington Huskies in the Peach Bowl, while Clemson shut out the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl, setting up this rematch. In last year’s national championship game, Alabama beat Clemson 45-40 as a 6.5-point favorite.

Merry Bowl Season To All

As we enter the waning days of 2016 and join our families for the holidays, let’s not forget what December was made for.

College Bowl Season!!!

The 2016-17 college football bowl season is underway. This college bowl season features several compelling matchups leading up to the College Football Playoff championship game on Jan. 9th in Tampa, Florida. Some bowl odds won’t offer much value — Alabama is by far the odds-on favorite to win the title — but others will have the excitement we expect throughout the rest of the season.

The New Year = The Return Of Tiger

The New Year is upon us and we have had a Tiger Woods sighting.

Woods finished in 15th in an 18-player field at the Hero World Challenge in early December, closing with a 4-over 76 in his first competitive tournament in 15 months.

That was enough to send the golf betting world into a dizzy and a flurry of action on his odds to win next year’s Masters. Woods’ odds to win the 2017 Masters were as low as 16-1.

Matsuyama’s (the Hero World Challenge Winner) odds to win the Masters were down to 15-1 earlier this month. He was one of five golfers with better odds than Woods.Jason Day and Jordan Spieth were 8-1 co-favorites to win the Masters, with Rory McIlroy at 9-1.

Tiger was listed at 20-1.The Masters will take place April 6-9 in Augusta, Georgia.

UFC 206 + Heisman = Pre Holiday Cheer

The holiday season is here and so is UFC 206 and the 2016 Heisman trophy vote.

First let’s talk about UFC 206. It’s fight week and Max Holloway will face Anthony Pettis for the interim featherweight crown in the headline bout from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada.

The main event may not be the originally scheduled title rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson that was cancelled due to injury. The 37-year-old Cormier tore his adductor tendon in his groin while training for his rematch with Johnson. But don’t worry, the Holloway vs. Pettis fight is one of the more intriguing bouts to materialize during the last few months.

These two young fighters are the future of the UFC.

A kickboxing force at just 25 years of age, Max Holloway (16-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) has already cemented his place as the UFC’s all-time winningest featherweight. Holloway also happens to be in the midst of a divisional-best, nine-fight win streak, which has him on the cusp of his first title.
